Mortgage Checklist

Enjoy a smoother and faster closing by gathering your paperwork in advance.

 

Here is a list of documents that you and your co-borrowers may need in order to complete your mortgage application:

  • Two most recent paystubs
  • Bank statements for the past two months
  • Federal Tax Returns for the past two years, including all schedules
  • Investment and Retirement account statements for the past two months
  • List of all your assets and liabilities

If you are retired:

  • Most recent year's Social Security Awards Letter, if applicable
  • Most recent year's Pension Awards Letter, if applicable

If you are self-employed:

  • Business tax returns for the past two years, including K-1s

If you currently own Real Estate:

  • Mortgage account information 
  • Homeowner's insurance policy
  • School and property tax bills

 

Having these documents readily available at the time you apply can save days off your approval time and help you reach your closing more quickly!
